Crystalline Glazed Porcelain

My other passion in clay is developing crystalline glazes.  I used to have two different websites - one showing my chalices and one showing my crystalline work.  I am now combing my sites and am also making some high end chalices glazed with crystalline glaze.

Science, Spirit and Art are the watchwords of my work. Coaxing crystals to grow, I arrange the conditions to let nature's design to reveal itself. The geometric complexity and beauty of the crystals is a microcosm - sometimes reminiscent of outer space, sometimes ice on a windowpane, sometimes blooming flowers. Each piece is unpredictable and unique. I seek to create forms that also show the underlying geometric structure of all things.
